General information only
Momi and this medical disclaimer cover the Momi app and the website at momipregnancy.com. Everything in them, including articles, week-by-week updates, baby sizes, tips, calculators, the kick counter and the contraction timer, is general information, not medical advice. It isn't a diagnosis or treatment, and it doesn't replace care from your doctor, midwife or other qualified health professional.
Every pregnancy is different
Due dates, week counts and baby sizes are estimates based on averages. Your provider may give you a different due date after a scan; use theirs. Kick counts and contraction timings are tools to help you notice changes and talk to your care team. They can't tell you whether you or your baby are well.
When to get help
Don't wait, and don't rely on an app or website, if you have:
- your baby moving less than usual, or a change in their pattern of movements
- bleeding from the vagina
- fluid leaking from the vagina
- severe or constant tummy pain
- severe headache, vision changes or sudden swelling of the face, hands or feet
- signs of labor before 37 weeks
- thoughts of harming yourself or your baby
Call your maternity unit, midwife or doctor straight away. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the US, 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU).
Medical review
Our editorial process is described in our editorial policy. Each article shows its medical review status ("Medically reviewed by: Safi Allah Khan" until a qualified reviewer signs it off) and the date it was last updated. We cite sources such as ACOG, the NHS, the CDC, the WHO and Mayo Clinic, but guidance changes and differs between countries, so follow your local care team.
No relationship
Using Momi doesn't create a doctor–patient or midwife–patient relationship. Links to other websites are for information; we're not responsible for their content.
